Why buy an obsoleted product. Even if it is used. .

I personally think the future of sleds is the 4 stroke market. Right now how can yamaha compete with the 2stroke market when the cat is almost 10g cheaper.
With the way this world is going, will there be 2 strokes in the next 5 years??? Dunno stay tuned.
Really hoping so! Love my Yamaha's but will have to find another brand if I wish to ride a mountain without custom building my sled. It’s very unfortunate forsure... but why did Yamaha RE-Trademark “Mountainmax”? Maybe you guys are correct that they are setting a correction or reset... Dunno but I do like Yamaha products.

There are no changes in the line up of mountain specific units, so why produce more just to stock pile into inventory and suppress the value of the current new and used units. It doesn't make sense.
The mountain Sidewinders are working extremely good in performance and handling with virtually no issues with them and 99% of everyone that owns one of these say it is the best sled they have ever owned.
So until more of the market starts to move towards mountain 4 strokes, it may or may not. It's only sensible for Yamaha to limit the mountain models and hold back a year or two when no changes are going to be made in the line up. Especially when these units are working so well.
Yamaha will introduce a new model year, most likely in 2021 or 2022 as the Winder will be a 4 year model and unlikely it will be a Winder but something new.
I agree, lots of non current new winders at dealers to move, before releasing a new redesigned product.
I think what cat and yamaha is doing is very smart. Of other manufacturers did this the resale value of used sleds would be stronger.
