nope not yet , but when i started i said "i need my 40 hours , if you cant give me them then i cant work here , can you do this?" she said "absolutely!"


now i work 2 days a week , 3 to 7.........with no explanation......i hate tim hortons! DIE YOU HORRIBLE BUISNESS FRANCHISE DIE!!!!!!!!!!

Dang, thats why I quit retail in general. No good. Can't wait to hit up the trades when I'm done school.

And easy on the franchise, I love their coffee and they actually make good donuts.... Where else can you go for an actual donut? That doesn't taste like crap?

BTW, they don't like you there because you can speak fluent english. They like to hire under-paid immigrants, its better business on their part... We as the consumer have to deal with it.

shes cutting me to hire a bunch of people from the phillipeans that barley speak english AND pay them an extra $2/hr! i appreciate what they do with finding them jobs , but i say worry about canada's job problems , before other nations...........

Part of growing up is learning how to deal with situations - some people learn by talking it through, others by taking action etc. S&M is kinda like Joey's guidance counsellor I think and the forum is his sounding board - he tosses an idea out there, people chime in, he rarely takes anyone's advice (LOL Sorry Joey ) but in the end he learns to deal with the issue and moves on. Somedays you just gotta rant about what's bugging you - like this morning when I was at the Timmies across from my office, I'm the only guy in line waiting, this guy comes in and stands right fawking behind me about 6"!! Like WTF dude - Humping my leg won't get you that coffee any faster so fawk off - there's only 2 of us waiting.

I used to razz Joey quite a bit - but I've actually come to respect him in the end. He always sticks to his guns - no matter what. He's moved halfway across the country, to a totally different environment and people, and he's out there doing a lot more for his family and other people than most youngsters his age. Cut him some slack if he wants to vent on the internet from time to time.

Remember if you give them two weeks notice they are required to have you work it or pay you out. Should be able to force them to pay you based on your old hours to.
