Anyone in the Peace River area going for a tour this weekend .
I'm hoping to get a few more rides in before oldman winter digs his heals in

I like those side windows you have. I might get some of the plastic ones that are out from pooolaris this winter if funds allow.

Side windows are a home built frame and marguard from the glass shop . That stuff is hard coated on both sides

Interesting. I might have to have a good look at my machine and see if it is worth my time and effort into building something vs buying. Your chainsaw looks cleaner then mine after the mud at Stanger on Saturday that's for sure

Planning a trip there this summer. Is there a better time to go there? Has the bridge been repaired?

Which bridge are you referring to? The Firebag river bridge was replaced with a concrete bridge after the old one washed out.
As for timing, pretty well any time is summer is good. Horse flys and black flys can be bad in August but it’s minor.
It’s also really cool to see the sun go down at 3:30 in the morning, and even then, it never really goes down.
About the only time I wouldn’t recommend going is May long weekend..

Thanks for the reply Dooitorbust. Yes, I was referring to the washed out bridge. I assume it's pretty crowded may long weekend?
Can you give me a pointer of where the staging area is there? I have been trying to find it on google maps but no luck.

Not so much crowded as cold and wet. But saying that, most long weekends are busy.
There really isn’t a marked staging area but the “official” unloading spot is where the winter road to Chip begins. Head north of town and drive until the pavement ends and it’s another 10 or 20 min past that. There’’ll be a large open area with newer chit house on the left and a gated entrance to the winter road.
