I would say you go to Bell for your first mountain trip to Mcbride. Lots of playing around the cabin and a fairly safe place to ride.

If you have never sledded in the mountains before, you will find that it is very different from sledding at home. If you want to make the most of the experience and get some pointers at the same time, your best bet is to hire a guide for your group. When you split the cost between everyone, it really isn't that expensive and well worth it. In McBride, the tour/guiding operator is Adrenaline Tours and you can call them at (250) 569-7236. Rod and Steve are awesome - great riders (Rod has been featured in Sledheads), patient with newbies, huge supporters of the snowmobile club. Don't forget your cameras.
