Apex is almost ready to go for this weekend. Peeps who thought their Apex was making big power before might have been wrong;).
This fuel system works unreal on the Nytro and should work better on a Apex.

More of fuel boxes, injectors, etc. These kits are all sold.

They're nice and shiny and all but.......

I want to know who makes it, how does it work, what does it cost, why is it so much better than the others, how easy to tune, what's its adjustability, is it a self-contained system, how much more power are we talking and where is the dyno graph to back up the #'s.

Wow, those are all great questions.

-It is made in Canada by a reputable fuel injection company that has bee in business for 16 years and specializes in Turboed airplanes and cars.
-It will cost between 1000.00 and 1500.00 for a complete kit depending how many cylinders, what size injectors, etc.
-It is better because the sled basically runs off of the stock mapping and injectors until the fuel box senses boost and starts adding fuel based on rpm and boost level. There is a map sensor built in to the fuel box that will add fuel up to 21 lbs boost. The only company that has anything close is MCxpress and it is not adjustable without using a 800.00 megatune program and a laptop. This box can be adjusted "ON THE HILL" in a matter of seconds with the simple turn of a knob. You adjust at how much boost it starts add fuel and how much fuel it will add. The MC sleds run fairly consistant, but they have a throttle roll on stumble that is worse some days then others because of when it adds fuel in relation to engine load. The other problem with MC is that it is designed to be run on a stock motor with their headshim, so when you change anything at all like compression, porting, cam timing, etc., then the fuel requirements change. With this box, none of that is a problem because you can adjust it easily.
- Not sure how much more power the sled will make, but it will never go lean because you basically have unlimited fuel. Our Alpine kits would go lean after 10 seconds of wide open throttle and the motor would phase in and out and of course not make more power. This was with 450 cc injectors and running huge fuel pressure as well as 100% duty cycle on the injectors which is not good. As far as I am concerned this is the only fuel system for turboed sleds that truly works in all aspects, all well keeping stock driveability and throttle response.
-I have not dynoed my Sleds yet, but I plan on it and will dyno with new fuel system as well as old. I truly believe the results will shocking. All those people that think their Apexes are making over 300 hp might be suprised, including myself.

this is a vid of my Nytro running this system going up the Monster chute in Revy. Running 14-15 lbs boost.

Testing went well yesterday in Revy. Only ran the sled to 16 lbs boost and quickly ran out of hill. Best speed I seen was 122 kph at 16 lbs boost and 10400 RPM in about 600 ft. I have video and will put it up later. I would have gone more boost but I couldn't find a long enough hill and didn't want to blow my 3 inch lugs off.

Does the kit come with the ratchet strap or do I have to supply my own? :D

haha. I thought you would be more concerned that I had no air filter. If you ever get to enough boost where you need a ratchet strap to hold your throttle bodies and airbox in place...then ya, I will get one for you.

Air filter smilter - so long as whatever you suck in is small enough to go through the turbo that's all that matters....:D

Is that the duct tape feature in the background?? Was going to say something but I thought maybe it was just holding the tube on or something......taping off the intake seems a litte restrictive don't ya think? LOL

How much do these new fuel kits cost?? Must be kinda pricey with all these fancy parts like ratchet straps and duct tape included in the price....LOL :D

The duct tape over the intake is just like a restrictor plate. If i need more power, I just poke more holes in it.
