Just a heads up:

We are completing pre-production tests on a unique, new tool that accurately and harmlessly breaks the outer tips of the fiberglass rods of any track. This easy process exactly duplicates what BRP has done with the new XM Flex Edge track. Our tests indicate a 10% reduction in tipping resistance on a Polaris Pro with the Peak 2.5 track. If anyone is interested in testing or purchasing this tool and the exciting possibilities of decreased rollover effort and increased traction, give us a call @ Between the Lines Designs (208)868-3308 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm MST Price should be around $60-80 US.

Thanks, think snow!

Interesting..
How does it stand up with the test of time?

I would guess that the rods just frazzle, and not snap...

Probably not, just because the doo track has shorter rods...and not broken ones..

No concerns on patent infringement as it is a modification, not part of new construction.
As for durability, how many of us have ridden thousands of miles while unknowingly having a broken fiberglass rod or two?
When the rods are broken, the ends turn to dust and actually lubricate the broken joints.

The process is new, not the outcome. If any are willing to try it, you are welcome.

Sorry, no Edmonton for us this fall. Look up Specialty Sleds as he is a dealer in Edmonton.
As for the tool, we should be in stock in about three weeks.

Yes, Ralphs Arctic Cat. 1-403-291-4868.

Heres some pics of the pliability of the rod after breaking and the holes left by the piercing bit. Notice the holes are on the backside of the paddles to avoid tearing.

Thanks for the interest!
