New to the Sport and looking for information ...

Good day everyone

I'm the Executive Director of the Drayton Valley Hospitality and Tourism Authority.

The great folks in the parts department at First Choice Recreation in Drayton Valley referred me to SnowandMud as a great source for information.

I am new (ish) to the DV area and as part of my job in promoting Tourism in the area I am looking for information on Snowmobile Racing Associations/Sanctioning Bodies and how to contact them it would be appreciated.

I would like very much to take a look at bringing both Snowmobile Oval Track and Drag Racing to the Drayton Valley and Brazeau County area.

In a past life I was very involved with auto racing and promoting/operating auto racing events so I have a decent handle on making them happen and work.

But have no idea if this is something the Snowmobile Community would be interested in or the contacts to start pursuing this.

Any help or direction appreciated.

welcome to the site.
well just a few things here, love to see more racing going on as I use to race few yrs back. The problem is they are not fun anymore as the group that has these races are full of crap and favor some more then others, keep it fair and fun and lots would turn out.....good luck

Have continued digging and have sent some e mails to what appear to be sanctioning bodies/organizers, no answers yet but here is hoping.

Any information helps .... even if you'd just be interested in participating. Trying to figure out if it is worth pursuing.
