Hello and welcome to Snowandmud.com I belong to a snowmobile club just outside of Sherwood Park Called Fort Saskatchewan Snow Angels, we have a forum on here, watch for the next meeting and come and join us. We have a trail system there, as the county is very strict about riding sleds here.

Have a 1997 Polaris Indy 500 Liquid, which we got last year and a 1997 Polaris Trail RMK 500 Fan, which has only moved from the back of my truck to the garage under its own power. Just going over the mechanical on the RMK right now. Just want to make sure it's ready to go, when the white stuff arrives. I understand that there are some trails in the Blackfoot area, just south of Elk Island Park. Would also like to try to find some hills for the RMK to climb. Would like the opportunity to try to wear out both machines this winter!

Summiteer, I've heard there can be some pretty good snow and trails up there. Look forward to trying to get up there. Yes, you are right, there are some great people on this site. Look forward to winter. Anyone else suggest some great areas for sledding around Edmonton and area??? Sleds to ride and fuel to burn!!!

Yeah we have some ok riding around here. Trails are pretty good plus theres a bit of off trail -cut line riding to be done. As you go further north and west you can find some fairly hilly areas too, up west of Swan hills and between Whitecourt, Fox creek and Swan Hills.

Can't believe that the Iron Horse Trail's been around for a while. I've never heard of it! It looks pretty cool though. Better take extra fuel along though....

no need for extra fuel.towns are about 20-30miles apart with fuel and food right on the trail, usually a gas station. each town has a off load spot and away you go.last year we went east of st.paul then north to bonnyville then back to st.paul .
Lots of trail and cross crountry and lakes.I will be going back again this year,
its only1.5 hrs from here. keep in touch maybe we will meet you there

Has anyone gone through Blackfoot, just south of Elk Island Park? Not a very long trail, but my wife rides horses there in the summer and says its very nice. Any thoughts?
