Years past I have lived in Ministik, I knew those trails like the back of my hand. Used to help clean them when we were Sherwood Park Snowmobile club. I have gone out a few times as Tri-county, but like anything work gets in the way.

Anyways due to work We left our home in Ministik and moved to Sturgeon County. (RR231 TWNSP 564) and I am wondering where some riding areas out here are?

This year I did re-new my Tri-county Membership, but Ministik is now a little far to travel.

Looking for new Sturgeon areas to ride in.

The area south of Hwy #37 between Hwy #28 and Hwy #2 is off limits to OHV use, your good to go anywhere else if it is not posted.

I heard that the Red Barn on Lily Lake road has closed again, that was always a good ride from Hiway 28 and the Sturgeon river

I'm about 5 miles from you. Tons of riding all over, once the snows here you'll see the tracks everywhere. Ive never heard or seen any issues with landowners, hit the fields and pin it!

Everywhere. Like mentioned just stay away from ST Albert. You can ride the ditch south of 37 and in a bit as well as the sturgeon river but don't go in too far up top. Just looked on the map where you are and you moved to a good spot. You can head west for lots of trails too.

So
Sturgeon river is owned by Alberta or the federal government
so would it not be safe to say the river is all game ?
as its crown land and county motorized laws do not apply ,as they don't
really own ,it just watch it

The only issue when riding the river is making sure it is frozen enough. I almost went through with the sled two seasons ago following a coyote and not paying enough attention to the lack of tracks. Had it pinned and made it to shore ok. Lots of guys on quads ride it also and I suspect the posts will be starting this month about if it is safe to ride yet.

Parked on the side of hwy 28, just north of the hwy 37 crossing. Type this into google maps, 53.731286, -113.495627, then go north from there

I'm located in Gibbonslea Subdivision, Hoping to be able to ride right from my door, :)
