hey! its cody from the Alberta Snowmobile page on facebook!

I figured as much. What part of Manitoba?

I'm around the Edmonton area, the lack of snow has kept the Ministik trail system closed.
I rode Whitecourt Jan 2 last, it was fairly beat up. we had fresh but hard and rough under it. Some cut blocks, power lines and pipe lines would be okay, as long as you don't find any rocks or stumps.

a group of us are McBride bound tomorrow. One of my co-workers was there last weekend. snow and rain mixture he said. up top was good. but down below was raining. See what its like tomorrow i guess.

Im in Macgregor, about an hour east of Brandon, ya im around a lot of different parts in alberta and snow is somewhat of a rare commodity now, just sorta waitin to see what the next week or two brings us...if we decide not to go sledding out here were probably gunna make other arrangements in terms of what to do for our Vacation.

let me know how mcbride turns out to be...if at all possible would you be willing to snap a couple pics and either shoot them to me on Facebook or wherever? ive got a buddy in St.Albert whos pretty big into sledding might talk to him to see what hes doin the days we might come out

Not a problem.

I don't take that much for pictures anymore. But the guys I ride with do. Then once they post on Facebook I share them from there.

Have you considered west Yellowstone in Montana? Not sure how far of a drive that is for you.

i have considered it, its actually about 6 hours closer than McBride is, again i run into the issue of not knowing where to go or anything like that

I was down there in 05. And from what I remember it is marked really well. There's enough people on snow and mud that could set you up with maps. Staging areas. Things like that.

If you click on the forum tab top left and scroll down.

Snowmobile chat. Or scroll down further and there's a section of riding areas.

From what I heard they've had close to the same weather we have had. Warm and rain.

Welcome to the snow and mud. I am from roblin mb. Not to much snow here either but can ride carefully. Just 20 minutes from here at the duck mountains they got between 5 and 10 inches supposedly. Hope to check it out on the weekend.
