Well said.... He's a big boy... His sled, and if he wrecks it, his problem.... Probably strapped down with those heavy duty 2" straps better than most sleds on trailers with 1" straps...

You buy new 163 sled, show up with short box truck, hand me the sales guy $13000 for it, I have my yard guy bring it out, you point out your vehicle and I tell you "No you can't take it home in that its not safe"........ how do you react to me as a person who just happily took your $13,000?

By the way, for a mechanical shop it's a major no no to let any car go unsafe

Guy with bad brakes may make it home without issue

Guy with sled straped down to tool box and above box side height may make it home without issue

Omfg tex. You are NOt understanding. The sled is completely safe it's brand new! Start thinking about this in correct terms. If he was driving the sled home your logic would apply. If the brand new t3 had no brakes....

I didn't think it really looked that unsafe. I'm sure I loaded stuff like that. Worst case Ontario is the sled comes out on the highway while swerving to miss some jerks ikea mattress that was strapped to the roof of his Toyota Turcel improperly, and the guy behind him finishes the sled off completely.. No one will die.
