From what I have been told, and do not hold me to this if this is incorrect. Any sled shipped now will be complete minus the DESS security. The experts are supposed to be the sled that get the new gauge.
Hopefully, salesman wasn't in yesterday when I stopped in at dealer so I didn't really learn anything, not gunna start looking for the panic button till Dec 1

Ok I am confused.

Is that the guage that was supposed to come on the x? Or was it supposed to get the new 4.5" ?

I spose In normal times, all 2022 summits would of got the new 4.5” gauge like all the 2021’s did.
So to answer your question, no that’s the old gauge that came In the 2020.5 down to the 2017.

I wonder if they are gonna supply the proper guage after the fact or we just get what we get.

My new 2022 expert turbo has arrived. Pick up nov 8 Has new gauge, but DESS key is not security coded. Any key can start my sled
They say proper key will be here Feb. Mar. sometime and through warranty. All is good.
If it is in a trailer or locked to the deck can't see it being an issue.
Good times coming up!

Ya, but seriously? Who would want to steal one of those sleds. Even finding one that runs would be hard enough.

From what I’ve heard the experts are getting larger gauges, summit x and so are on the older smaller gauge

if you have the new glovebox but have the old gauge, it's easy to make it fit and look good. just requires trimming the front triangular piece off the existing gauge support, drilling two holes in the support using the glovebox as a template and attaching the supplied clip things over those holes.
here's mine trimmed and with the clips in place and then installed in the machine :
