LOL you just got a 40HP boost in ONE YEAR, it took 26 years to get the last 40hp increase. 1994 Summit 583 to 2020 summit 850.

165 consecutive hp is a joke though. Like I’ve said before in buy a new sled or keep mine and make more power then the stock turbo will ever dream of haha

its really not a joke the thing rips and no aftermarket kit has the run ability this machine does. but hey to each their own. enjoy wrenching/tinkering and no warranty lol. Youll be the guy on the turbosleds facebook page asking about silber updates and what clutching is everyone running, hey i have a weird bog at 7000rpm any ideas? sled ran great until noon and then the sun came out and it started falling on its face? what fuel is everyone running? hey i changed every single part on my sled and i still have a bog any ideas? hey does anyone know where justin silber lives hes not replying to my texts? LMAO Clearly a reliable 2 stroke turbo isnt your ballgame and thats cool. This is true oil, pump gas, pull rope and go reliable 165HP. after having them all this is the ticket. BTW there wont be any aftermarket kits running 5-7 lbs getting away from this sled at any high rate of speed.

You are probably right. But a lot of guys are running after market kits, boosted boys, silver, redline, boondocker, force turbos, and etc. You can’t tell me these guys are constantly fixing and tuning it or they wouldn’t be selling many kits. The tech has changed drastically over the last few years. Probably won’t be turboing my sled but I definitely do like working on it. But if you think about doo could most definitely increase the hp on the turbo sled. And you are right it’s not in my ballgame, I’ll let snow check r&d team to find all the problems first then buy one off season so I don’t waste my money.

just to clarify, I have been running an mpi kit from Mountain magic on my 2017 850 since 2017 and have yet to touch a control box or tinker with it. Pull the cord and ride 200 hp with no issues on pump gas. I don’t wrench either and have never had to on this sled.
i love the new sled and also bought one. But aftermarket kits work good if installed right and have the right set up.

Just cause your turbo ran like crap does not mean others do.
Who was your mechanic?
Shop built/assembled turbos rarelyrarely have issues any more.
As good as the doo stock turbo may be it will not touch a 7# kit.
The only real advantage the stock turbo has is warranty.
And that is a big deal for a lot of people dropping the coin.
Decent power from stocker now, won't be great power until it gets cranked up to 180+.
Nice propaganda storise in this thread though.

Anyhow there are going to be a lot of folks having a fantastic 40hp better ride next year!

I also agree. Not trying to convince anyone to NOT buy one. But not all of us have 24 g’s to spend on a sled at once now I was pumped that doo finally did it and still am and properly will buy one

Sounds like made up terminology to me, but ok. Still don't get joke.

It’s not. On a N/A 850 you lose hp as you climb in elevation. The new turbo doesn’t it stays at 165hp until you get to 8000ft

I think the word GreyGhost is looking for is compensating, not consecutive.....
