Yes sir. So sand blast the part, ground it and spray the powder, then it needs to be baked a certain amount of time/temp. So this powder is 400f @ 12min. So that 12 min when the part reaches 400f. So your bake time varies depending on the thinkness.
It’s pretty cheap to get into. Used oven, spray booth is just furnace filters and a box fan. The gun was 1000 out of the states. The cheap guns are decent and can work well.
Prep is key and the biggest time consumer. Rest is quick.

I'm watching with interest, I love builds, as much as riding them, they have a personal touch to them.

When you get to clutching and you want to shift like this with out blowing belts on OE clutches, PM me.
This was takin last week after spending 2 days in handle bar deep pow in one of my favorite play grounds, track speeds exceeding 110km/hr.
Who said you can't fully shift out a sled in the deep LOL.

Boost engine into a sidewinder project
Was thinking about about swapping a boost engine into a sidewinder chassis. Just for better reliability issues of the 4 stroke. I know it’s never been done before but I think a guy could shoe horn that engine in there.

Weakening an already IMO weak board but i'm a heavy weight LOL.
Of all the upgrades and mods I did to the SW the best bang for the buck is the belt drive.
Huge weight lost and very impressive track power response. If I was to do ONE only mod to a SW or Viper and no other, the belt drive would be it. Very noticeable, especially when you ride them back to back chain to belt.

Couple company's now have made inserts that seem to work alright, myself I went with CR racing boards, but I also run a size 14 boot..

So I put billet inserts on my viper. I didn’t like it. It raised the board position and 1/2 part of your front foot is off the board.

Definitely not something I’d do for boards.
Be nice with the belt drive if a guy could have a different oil tank. I’m not sure I want to give up reverse. Off the deck or back out of trailer.

If you need reverse then its not for you.
I have had sleds with reverse since 05, my Rt was the first for me. All my other past sleds had no reverse.
I thought of it handy at the time but honestly never really used it. Or used it on any other sleds with it. It is bonus when it comes at a no weight penalty but with a 4stroke that's not the case.
So, personally I don't miss it, I deck so pushing a sled off is no big deal, even a sled with reverse like the wife's sled I just push it off.
Its hard to swallow for me that heavy complex gear box, BTW now have over 1000km on that belt drive, ZERO issues and will be in McBride this weekend for more torcher.
