My son rode a couple of days in Revy last week and was pulling a T3 174 out of stucks for much of the day but what bad things he said about the trenching of that machine was totally offset by how well it ran with the insta-boost turbo. He was very impressed that it ran as well as a stocker down low and only on boost you knew it was a turbo.

Yeah the snow was definitely tricky that day. The boost certainly wasn't helping things. As soon as you got below the layer of slush into the blower powder there was no regaining floatation. I may have run out of talent a couple times too!

In all I am happy with the instaboost. Like your son said the transition from low end to boost in phenomenal. I do have a few tuning issues to sort out but it should be a very strong sled once it is dailed.

Hey maierch what are your few tuning issues you are having? What boost were you running at? How is the clutching that comes along with the kit? MY sled should be ready in the next couple days. Cant wait to have a boosted sled!

Thanks

They're not really tuning issues; I changed a bunch of things after TSS installed the turbo. (8 tooth drivers, belt drive, shockwave helix, and different clutching) All I'm working on is getting the gearing/ clutching perfected.

The clutching that they provide is very good if you leave the setup alone but I decided to change things up a little. I ran around 8-10lbs of boost all weekend.

Best of luck with your sled. I'm sure you're going to love it!

Thanks for the feedback maierch. This is will be my first boosted sled and very excited! I have heard nothing but good things about the tss guys, and there great to deal with. Good luck with your riding season!

Anyone coming of the regular TSS water/air kit to an instaboost this season? Any major differences in performance between the 2 kits ?

Running much better now; just needed more clutch weight and different helix (kit was installed 1st of Oct and they didn't get a chance to test clutching with new oiless turbo; this turbo makes more power earlier apparently). TSS guys were great; went at it as soon as we got there and had us riding the next day.
