Highlifter basically just caters to the muddin world. Not a lot of trail ridin done with mods. But yes 30% reduction in the mud with big tires would work great.

An old idea is new again! Just like a lot of ag and military applications - cool.
the original Hummer had gear driven hubs, funny it took this long for someone to design it for ATV use. $3200 yankee bucks....

I was looking at those. If I was going to put a 6" lift I would use those plus there 2" lift that way you can keep stock axle length. And I would think it it would work better that a 6" lift because you get the clearance all the way though the machine instead of the middle mostly.

Cool idea, bolt on portals. Mog axles use portals too and are popular in mud bogging and rock crawling. Does anyone think the 30% reduction is too much and will reduce wheel speed too much?

I think it is. Even if your running 32" tires that's to much. Unless they figure guys with them are never going to use low gear again.

With good clutching and a 30% gear reduction why would you ever need to use low gear again?

A buddy and I had gear reduction hubs from an early 60's VW Transporter in a hunting buggy we built in the mid 80's. I believe they were a 2:1 reduction. Worked great with a 1600 dual-port engine and 33"X12" mud tires plus gave us awesome ground clearance. Here's a pic I found of the VW unit :
