Looks good. Wish it would have said the weight. 2.8" is nice length. Would allow a little more air flow.

Marketing. Are there really tracks that are good for deep snow boon docking and other tracks good for deep snow climbing.... No. There are just good tracks. I get that 90% of riders goal isn't to climb the biggest dumbest hill they can find, but you can't ride mountains without going up hills some of the time and zig zagging part of the time. Also, to your point about snowbikes.. Aren't those things already 10/10 easy to maneuver and lay over at will?

Well according to the G4 track you want to grab a bigger chunk of snow at once. This grabs a bigger chunk than a X3. Looks a lot like the attack 20 track that the m7 had. Which worked ok but would slide out easier than a challenger design.

Actually yes, as hard as that might be to believe- some things do better then others. I think that's why Doo changed their track for this year- something about not performing as well as others.

I'm curious why they would only offer 15"? I thought 16" was needed to be a real deep snow track.

I don't buy it. If a track does better than the rest in deep snow climbing, why wouldn't it be good for deep snow anywhere doing anything.

Interesting. Would probably be a good track swap for a 3" Axys since the reports on the stock 3" don't seem to be glowing.

Look closely at this track. See that there are no clips only in windows that have no lugs. The failure in the design of the Poo tracks is that there is a lug even where there is no clip. The lug transfers its load to the rail and where there is no clip it severely damages the rubber window. You will see many more failures next season when guys get over 1500 kms on average. And with many less lugs, it will be very light.

The other guys have said their peace on a sled. On a bike, the track does make a difference. More to get the "tire" feel. #1. A track that is always on edge is going to require a different design than one that is flat - or requires maximum traction in a flat state. (trail riding or climbing). boondocking or biking the key is on edge. I want paddles that do not lie over with force coming from the side - not from directly below. That is why we have also gone with rounded paddles on the outside, to get a greater rollover feel.

First bike I rode 3 years ago was like you said 10x easy to turn and lay-over than a snowmobile. But it still felt like a skid. Now it is 12X easier - but has a "rear tire" feel and response to it.

I would say this design would let you go down 1/2 inch in terms of lug height. You are grabbing more snow per revolution.

Interesting that every second lug doesn't go to the edge and there is a 'slot' down the centre (not referring to the windows in the belt).

Considering that there is only one serious manufacturer of sled tracks (I am not going to include some no-name **** from russia) we are lucky to find any variation in track design.

People have been riding without track clips for years. People have been cutting them off for years looking for that edge in performance. My old big bore 3" (9116m) track I cut every second clip off. Some on lugs. It had over 8000km with no signs of wear and tear.

the 2.8 would be a awesome edition to a axys sled with belt drive system!

reminds me of the old half bar bolt on paddle setup we used to run. Those tracks worked really good, washed out quick on ice or hard pack conditions.

But you didn't have polaris power to contend with lol

I suggest Camso sends you one of these to stress test/prove for the rest of us

Camso should just buy my design which probably has reduced rider input 2x what there quoting ;)

I was not sold on your modification intially, but after riding it, I would say it worked well. It definetely didn't hinder performance. Will I be doing it with my track? Probably no need with the way the T3 lugs are folding over. Might put it on backwards when we throw the S-module in sometime this summer.
