Hey guys any advise on this would be greatly appreaciated

My buddy recently picked up a 95 summit 670 that had been sitting for some time (3-4 years) we got it home and started going over it, replaced one piston (150psi each side now) replaced the fuel, cleaned the carbs, checked all the jets, set the carbs to spec, and threw some new plugs in, the sled starts first pull, but bogs out under 2500 rpm. anything above that and it runs great, also when running at a lower rpm the clutch side pipe is not heating up, pretty sure i'm only running on one cylinder bellow 2500rpm, I'm not real familiar with ski-doo's so there is a good chance I'm overlooking something simple here, any ideas?
Thanks

My guess is the idle fuel air mixture is off. Maybe a bit of dirt in one carb. those little holes are small. Switch carbs around. If the other cylinder goes dead you know it's the carbs. If it still is the same cyinder then I would do a leak test on your crank seals.

is the HAC still on it? we had to ditch those on our 670s when they got a few years old, i dont know what goes wrong with them, but they would run way rich. we just pulled it out, plugged the lines that went to it and dropped the main and pilots down. i dont remember off hand what we went to... but the factory ones are very large...

Verdict - clutch side crank seal

heard there is a cheap fix (just push new seals in) but it will be a reocurring problem, or pull her apart and do it proper, anyone try the cheap way??

When you push the seal in without splitting the case you wreck the lip on the seal that holds it in...The seal being damaged wrecked the piston the first time and will do it again so don't run it any more!!They let air in causing a lean mixture.
