I got this set of wheels used, they had maybe 10,000km on them, and I traded off my stockers. I used the new ones one winter and they look terrible. Does anyone have any ideas of how to make these look decent again?

I think the clearcoat is coming off than the metal is corroding, Im not sure if I can buff off the corrosion than re-clearcoat, maybe than touch up with a brush? Not too sure how to get the corrosion off either

X2 I think you need to strip the CC with paint thinner or whatever and then you will be able to sand and re-polish that spot cause it's not painted. Then you can get them CC'd again, and you'll take them off in fall.....right?

Just giving you a hard time, I ran my wheels all winter and got lucky, they faired well. Mostly hwy.

Looks like the clear is coming off and some corrision has started.
On the alluminium, I would sand with 300 grit, then 600 grit, then 1200 grit. then polish with an aluminium polish such as mothers. then you should be able to clear coat again.

if it were me....

at canadian tire you can buy aircraft coating remover (i havent bought it in a few years) and the stuff is pretty serious i would wear a facemask for sure.

take them off the truck put this stuff on with the wheels laying flatt on the ground and pressure wash them and all of the clear will come off.

thenif you want to wet sand them and clear them go ahead, but use good clear and do it with a gun not a spray bomb. if you polish them the clear will not stick very well.

there is also a few places in town that will mill them down and refinish them

Bead blast them raw and start over. Its the only way to make them new again.
Probably cheaper to replace, considering the amount of time and specialty tools.
