need help deciding on new sled

my choices are 155 x 2.6 kaos 850 red white
163 x3 850 with gps gauge, clicker shocks black with blue accents
163 x2.6 clicker shocks red with black tunnel
163 x 2.6 clicker shocks black with red accents

they are all 2020s with the 3 inch being the most expensive by a grand.

the others are similarly priced.

my concerns are is the kaos going to be a competent climber do to its attack angle. I had a 2016 155 x 2.6 and am currently on a 17 174. i enjoyed the 155 more. I have had a 5 minute ride on a 63. what are the pros and cons of each.

Guess it depends on what kind of riding you do and snow conditions you usually have... If steep and deep is your thing then I would think the 155 would not be a good choice unless your a smaller guy with skills that can ride it pinned most of the time. I’’m bigger at 230 lbs + gear and did not like a 155 in 3 feet of snow or more although it was fun to whip around. I like my 175 but am trying the 165 Expert this year for something different. My buddies have enjoyed their 163’s as a good all around sled. If you’’re a dedicated whip and drop kind of guy then maybe the 155 does work? Good luck on your decision! First world problems...

Get the 155 and put a 163 3.2 in it.

I wish my 174 AXYS had a 174 x 2.6" but I do like the 3" pitch of the 3" lugged track.. If you have ridden the 2.6 compared to the 3" you would not be disappointed as it spins faster.

You won't be disappointed in the 850 with any track combination,

I personally would get the 163 by 3 inch.
If you're not playing in the steep and deep most of the time, then the Kaos.

Pick up a 163 belt drive with a 2.6 track, sell the 2.6 buy some drivers, antistab, and a X3 162 and be done with it. In stock form the tracks have to be so tight it robs power, the stock 3 inch sucks and there is no need to go back in time to a chaincase.

I like the 155. The only time for me that it’s a sacrifice is if you stop pointed straight up on deeper days and there isn’t room due to tighter trees to throw it on its side and just throttle out.

Going back to a 155 2.6 from a 163 3” was a great decision for me last winter. I have ridden lots of 3” tracks and while they do hook up really well I prefer being able to spin the track quicker with the 2.6 and that was even with a geared down 163 3” fully set up clutch.

I really hope to try the Khaos this year as I think it’s going to be a blast to ride. The one area I felt the 155 shined was in the tighter up and down where you could just punch the throttle and wheelie over obstacles. If the Khaos is what they say it will be, a 155 that can been thrown around with less effort it is going to be my next sled.

The other options have been mentioned but Iceage also has “Khaos” profile 163 rails available for order as well. If someone picked up a 155 and felt it wasnt enough track but wanted to keep a playful feel then some iceage rails and a 163 track is an easy swap which is what a bunch of guys are going to likely do based on talking to them.

At no time do I think someone can go wrong with a 163 though. It’s an all around good mountain track length for all conditions.
