You can see Telus has there system streamlined offer piss poor cell coverage and u will keep your landline as backup seems to be the normal have same cell coverage at home and tower is 5k away and blinking at us.

I got a weird reception thing going on in my house, pretty much right in the middle of my living room the towers try to handoff to each other if you cross the "line", and a lot of the times will drop the call. on the northeast side of the line I get Peace River's tower, and on the southwest side I get Brownvale's tower. didn't know what was happening until smartphones came out and the weather on the main page kept changing locations between those two....lol

spend a little money and buy an in home booster, point it at one tower and never have any issues again. i had to do that and it makes a big difference

the signal strength isn't the problem, full bars on either tower. I think the problem is the phone trying to decide which tower to connect to in the "spot".

I have a booster in the 5th wheel for when service is sketchy camping and I gotta do dispatch duty. can't say enough good things about it, they will pick up a 3G signal where the phone won't even find one bar.

the booster i have has a directional outside antena, so you pick which tower you use. then the stronger signal should be the one your phone defaults to all the time, i think
