What happened to the 24-48 hour notice i dont know what the rules are for motels/hotels but it does seem well in advance for cancelling. I hope they cut you some slack. When i booked in valemount they told me 24 hours to cancel. good luck.

If you had this cabin booked for your friends, shouldn`t they pick up the bill for the cost of the cabin. Not trying to be a dick but I have rooms booked under my card for the 26-31 and if my friends backed out they would pay for the room if I couldn`t get refunded.

19 to 10 days notice they say i will have to pay for the first night, 9 to 5 days 50% of the total charge, then 5 to 0 pay full price!

I think that is fair,,, keeps food on the table for the tourism people, everyone has different rules,,,,,,, make sure you want something before you book,,,,, keeps the honest - honest!!!! It is difficult to rebook last minute with things booked already and people backing out.

Just remember that these rules were created for a reason. Peeps bailing on rooms without any notice cost the hotel industry lots of money. I'd rather see the guys that don't show up for their rooms get billed rather than just tacking it on to MY COSTS!

I do agree that 10 days is a little excessive but it is their rules and it beats sleeping in a tent.
