Is Carl still able to pull a backflip this year? It's been a while since he did one

He did it Woody. I wonder what Gibbs thinks about that? One slip and he lands on his head or breaks an ankle? Not good IMO.

Today was Tony Stewart day. He told the media he would be back in the car this weekend at Richmond, he told the media he wanted to see Danica up her game and he told the media that Nascar was going to kill someone if they didn't get this 4 lug nut/loose wheel issue sorted out. So to sum up,,,,, Tony will be back and Tony is short $35000 cash for actions detrimental to the sanctioning body. Lol.

Poor Tony, that's the story of his life. It does seem like a ridiculous penelty for stating the obvious. I mean, c'mon NASCAR, just because you have safer barriers doesn't mean you can bounce cars off them like pinballs and everything will be hunky dory!

I'm guessing they don't police the 5 lugnut rule anymore because their new computerized pit road monitor can't pick it up. If that's the case it makes you wonder just what else it can't pick up. Crew cheifs are testing the waters once again!

I couldn't believe what I was reading when they introduced the new rule. For years you got a penalty if you left one off and now some teams are only putting 3 on the left sides in a late race caution scenario? If I was a driver I'd be raising a stink.

Just read that the drivers council has made a statement to the media that they stand behind Tony's comments on the lug nut controversy. They have made a statement that they will pay his fine personally out of their own pockets.

See post above for the starting grid. Rain cancelled qualifying today so lineup is set on first practice speeds. Harvick on the pole!

Carl Edwards used the front of his car to gently move Kyle Busch out of the way on the last lap to win Richmond. Edwards dominated the race today for his 2nd win in a row and now leads the Race for the Chase. Here were the top 10 finishers: 19-18-48-5-4-11-20-22-78-41

He handled the post race interview quite well but leopards don't change their spots. He'll get even.

Saw a video this morning that Tony Stewart will start next weeks race In Talladega then give up his seat to Ty Dillon at the 1st caution as per doctors orders. The idea that getting into the big one will do his back no good in his attempt to get into the Chase. He still collects points for starting the race.
