Frankly, no matter what NASCAR says or does to Matt, they love the fan attention it has garnered. They will try to say all the right things and paint a stern picture, but in the end, they love it.

I did as well :)

Danica Patrick was also assessed a penalty for her actions in the race against David Gilliland. She was fined $50,000 and assessed 25 Championship points.

And...............JGR just announced they will appeal the "severity" of the penalty. Not sure if that means he can race until the appeal is heard?

Nascar to expedite JGR appeal. First hearing is 9am Thursday morning in NC. If there are no changes to the penalty he has the opportunity to make a final appeal to Bryan Moss and then whatever happens after that appeal is final. Currently Matt is 2nd only to Jeff Gordon in consecutive starts in the series however this could change based on the suspension ruling.

I say Nascar should step out of it. Let the drivers take the gloves off for the remainder of the season and buck at it then we'd see some get up on the wheel racing.

Appeals board has upheld the suspension to Matt Kenseth for his actions at Martinsville this past weekend. JGR is now appealing through the final appeal process at 1pm EST. This is his last appeal process. Answer should be shortly.

Matt should have punched out Logano after the incident in Kansas as opposed to what he did at Martinsville. Prolly would have been some hurt feelers and a monetary fine instead of a 2 race suspension.

All appeals denied. Matts next race will be Homestead. No word yet who will drive the 20 car the next 2 races. Early rumor's have Eric Jones and Daniel Suarez as the early favorites.

This just in. Erik Jones in the 20 car for Texas. Mother Nature must not be happy with the denied appeals as tornado warnings out for Dallas Ft Worth area right now. Pray for the haulers and team personnel.

I still think Matt should punch out young Joey and maybe Brad too. That's just my opinion though.
Made for some great Drama, the crowd loved it.

Brad has been cleared of all crimes. When Kurt pushed him into Matt on the restart he broke the RH tie rod and lost steering. When he accelerated again he couldn't turn and caused the accident. Racing deal. Like all the experts have said. Why would Brad want to get involved in a crash? Nothing to gain and everything to lose as he is still in the Chase.
