Darryl Bubba Wallace asks for his release from Gibbs this week to go to Roush for a full time Xfinity ride next year. Anybody else think Roush poached him after watching his 2 best drivers in Sprint Cup get poached by Gibbs the last 2 years?

I can't believe what I just read on Jayski's? Nascar to let teams regulate how many lug nuts they put on during a pit stop in 2015. In other words if they want to roll the dice then can put on 3 instead of 5 per wheel to get a faster pit stop. Am I missing something? They take away HP from the cars next year to slow them down because its getting to dangerous? So lets let crew men put on half the lug nuts instead? Thoughts?

Its like Nascar is so happy with there new Chase format they need to turn the regular season into a circus to keep peeps coming. Wait till one of those tires goes into the stands and someone sues there azz because they feel 3 nuts are enough?

In formula 1 and Indy they have a single large nut. It does have a safety catch that stops the nut from coming off. Also they have a dowel thing on the hub the rim locks on.

Stupid running 3 nuts imo. Lug nuts don't change track speed just put stop times. Sure would be sad to see a wheel hit the fans.

Chit my beer would spill.

Thats insane. I'm sure what they are after is if somebody drops a nut on their last stop they will let the team make the call as to if they want to gamble and stay out to win. I'm sure you won't see teams leaving 1 or 2 off all race as the driver won't like driving with such a vibration.

If I was a driver I would be raising bloody hell with Nascar right now. Some of these 2 mile tracks they are sailing it into the corner at 205-207mph. Not a great time to lose a wheel.

Brian Vickers to miss the first part of the 2015 season in the 55 car as he recovers from heart issues. No word on a replacement although speculation has owner Michael Waltrip dancing his way into the car for the Daytona 500.

Jeff Gordon tells the media he has no current plans to retire in the near future contingent on his back holding up. And I thought Johnson carried all the weight at Hendricks these days?
