All is well in the Nascar world as Jr takes the point lead. It will be fun to watch Edwards now as he has admitted that points racing is out and now he will take chances for wins. 6 races to go to the Chase.

WTF does Hendrick think they are royalty? Whats with the gay pillows for them to kneel on at the finish line when they kissed the bricks. I don't think Dale Jarrett needed them when he started the tradition when he won it.

Kenseth now says he will talk about where he will be in late August. Pretty sure its at Gibbs as they say they will try and run 4 teams next year and hope to be able to keep Logano.

I was on holidays in the midwest, had done what was planned. Was less than 4hrs from Indy. Always wanted to see Indy 500 live, but way too far just for that. So the brickyard 400 will have to do. Got to the track @ 6:38 am. There isnt much parking close. Ticket lady told me to come early & were to park. Got tickets very close to the row of bricks under the canopy. Toured the grounds, went to the indy hall of fame, that was a awesome place! Well worth the $5bucks. Funny to listen to the hill billys whine about having to pay to get in to the musem. 99% of them wouldnt pay to get in, so there was less idiots to be around in there. They have alot winning 500 cars in there, have the 1911 beside the 2011 car. Best car to me in there was the Jacques's car from the 1995. They even have a cummins indy car. Then went over the gm booth, didnt interest me. But it was only auto booth there. Had a bunch of gm drivers there, dale was on stage. They should not let him talk! Cant put a sentence together with a hum, man, duh, etc. Now time to walk over to the trailers selling gear. Got couple things, raceday was on. Stood in the crowd, seen DW, Larry Mac, Kenny Wallace. That was cool. Now time to wonder over to the seats. Now I know why I never went to indy 500 race. Cant see anything, to my left just barley see turn 4, cars blast down the front stretch, disappear out turn 1. Wait 50 seconds, there back. Glad this was only 400miles. The tv's are so small, barely make out the cars on the screen. Im not whinning about going, its just not a great track to watch a race. Its more of an experince than anything. It was good to go, but once was enough for me. I been to Talledaga, Bristol, now Indy. Rode in a cup car @ Daytonna. Been by Michigan & Kentucky, not sure which track to watch a race @ now. Im no dale fan, but what the hell, hopefully he can win the title this yr.

Watching the race at Talledega must have been similar for viewing. The cars are over a mile away most of the race. I went to Daytona in 2001 and never go again. The mile and a halfs or smaller are better races to watch live in my estimation.

Folks have been to the indy 500 and my uncle has been to the brickyard 400. Everyone has the same complaint about indy. Zoom, (read the race program), zoom, (read the race program), zoom, (read the race program). When you go to indy its more for the prestiege and history. In my eyes if you cant see the whole track from the bleachers, stay home.

Talledaga is a massive track, sat in turn 1 area. Close the finish line, its at the end of the tri oval. But @ least I could see the cars all the time, in turn 3 is was a 200mph rainbow of colour. Also the TV there is massive. Not a great track to see alot action either. Indy is bad, cant see anything unless in front of you. The pit lane has seats on back side, there very tall, plus there is 18hole golf coarse in the way. I havent been to a 1.5mile yet, that should be next track. Bristol was ok, but after 3hrs of ear deafing noise it gets to you, it never lets up. The bowl of seats keep the exhaust in, race fuel fumes gets you after awhile also. Outside Bristol track is riot of things going on. If you had a toyota key on you, they fead you drink/food. No booze, but cool deal. I took a plane to get there, so no key on me, dam.
