Was a ok race. Hopefully Ryan is ok. He said it was a bad hit into the wall.
Yes he has been the mail a lot lately. It’s time for him to be the hammer on some of these restarts. Getting tired of it.

Tight playoff standings. Should be a good remaining nine races to qualify for playoffs:

Sad news for the Jimmie Johnson family as his wife’s parents commit a murder suicide and take an 11 yr old grandson with them. Even the well off suffer from mental challenges.

Horrible news, Jimmie Johnson’s in-laws found dead in a murder/suicide. Also a grandson was murdered.

Days of Thunder was released 33 years this past week.

Saw the dud Darrell(bubba) throw out the first pitch at Wrigley field the other day. Wasn’t even close to the plate. I bet most of the crowd didn’t even know who that clown is.

I’m assuming because of weather but NASCAR has moved up the start time for tomorrows race to 5:05 pm EST. Remember to set your PVR’s for the new time if you are away

What a chit show this weekend in Chicago is. Yesterdays Xfinity race was called after 25 laps for lightning. It was rescheduled for earlier this morning however never started for heavy rain. It still hasn’t started and there is some talk now they may push both it and the Cup race to tomorrow because of the weather. Stay tuned

NASCAR just called the Xfinity race as they feel they can’t get it even to the halfway point which is normal protocol for rain shortened races. Cole Custer was leading at the postponement yesterday so he has been declared the winner.

Chicago is in the books. They shortened it by 25 laps because of darkness and a new winner! Shane Van Gisbergen wins his first ever NASCAR race out dueling Haley, Elliott, Larson and Busch for the win in an exciting overtime. Congrats mate!

There was zero excitement until the end when SVG started picking off cars to get to the front. For the majority of the race so was wandering around the house looking for my grandkids as the race was unappealing to me.

The course could have been laid out way better. Too narrow to pass and unforgiving in the wet conditions. Pit lane entry seemed like an after thought. It was interesting at the end to see a new driver in Nascar get more out of the new car than some very good road course drivers.

Yeah for a bonafied superstar on road courses like ex Champion Chase Elliott I expected more out of him in the closing laps for a guy that has to win to advance to the playoffs.

Enjoyed watching SVG make the other drivers look like chumps, he‘s either the real deal or he had a heck of a car.

He’s the real deal and having street course experience to go with 16 lap newer tires than Haley and Elliott helped as well
