I don’t think anyone thought they would go 100 laps at the end without tires or a caution. The move where a few cars got tires at lap 18 was genius. They were the top 4 cars at the end of the race.

I was expecting an imaginary debris caution at the end like they seem to do. I'm not sure why they changed the format this year going away from the 3 stage with the possibility of inverting the field. On the plus side they did fill the stands for a race for a change.

Yeah it helps when that region is starving for racing again and there is only 40,000 seats.

I saw the last years results back in 1996 when they had their last race. Pretty impressive top 3!

I would have watched that race on ESPN most likely back then. I have seen every race since Daytona 500 in 1996 in its entirety with the exception of 40 laps at Darlington back in the early 2000’s and the Dover race a few weeks ago when we were in Italy and they got rained out and race got moved to Monday and the PVR never clued in. I haven’t given up trying to find it online though. Keep the streak alive!

Couple notes from today. Alex Bowman to return to the 48 car this weekend and his replacement, Josh Berry is rumoured to have signed a contract to drive the 4 car that Harvick will vacate for the 2024 season and beyond.

Xfinity race on rain delay. Charlotte area forecast is 100% chance of rain with 50-75mm of rain tomorrow. Talk they may try to fit the 600 in Monday now. Not sure on Xfinity race

TSN but can’t remember if it was 1,2,3,4? I’m thinking NASCAR will make a quick decision in the morning on the Cup race so that fans won’t be sitting at the track most of the day. Jays are like my Yankees. Eradic as all hell lately.

I watched the Indy 500 and a NASCAR race broke out! Multiple red flag as at the end with a one lap shoot out at the end. Congrats to Josef Newgarden with a last lap pass to bring the Penske 22 car home for the win! Congrats to Roger winning his 19th 500 and his first Indy 500 as track owner. Can he do the double today?

NASCAR just called the race for today. It has been postponed to tomorrow at 1pm MST and the Xfinity race moved back a bit to 9 am MST. That sucks
