I personally don't care for this type of racing. Every driver in Nascar got there with ashpalt experience to get to the premier class yet now you have guys with no experience on dirt racing guys with lots of experience. Plus unless you are there its not going to be a great spectator show as there was times in practice guys couldn't see the end of the straightaways because of the dust. And thats with only a few cars on the track. Expect a caution filled race, poor visibility and guys leaving for overheated motors throughout the race. More like off road racing than precision Nascar racing IMO.

Nascar has some problems to deal with. They had no plans of pitting for cautions but rather only at stage completions. Tires will not last for the final stage length so they are looking at options with Goodyear. Drivers will never be able to see out of windshields either if they don't stop to tear off tear offs. Also lots of cars over heating as rads get plugged from mud and dust. Could be a battle of attrition tomorrow and tonight.

Sounds like a normal sxs riding day for us. Lol

The cars are not made for dirt. So will be issues.

What a chit show in truck qualifying heats. Track is muddy from rain and they made one lap and had to quit as everyone but the leaders windows and rads were plugged off and no one could see anything. Maybe 2 inches of solid mud stuck to front of trucks. Harvick said he's never been on that much edge in a race car ever.

With qualifying cancelled today because of rain Nascar went to practice results for the starting lineup. Here is the top 10 starters although the 5 car will have to go to the back of the field: 5-11-12-18-19-4-48-24-3-22

Yep just seeing those Cup cars in the mud just makes me cry. The crews were chipping 100 lbs of mud off the trucks after 1 lap. Thats gotta help handling set ups. Lmao!

Well boys and girls, because of heavy rains and flooding at the Bristol venue they have cancelled all races today and rescheduled for Monday. Truck race is supposed to go at noon EST and the Cup race at 4pm EST. Heres hoping.....

Be interesting to see what kind of response NASCAR gets from not only the fans but the teams after this failed experiment. Should know by Tuesday morning I guess?
