Updated Chase standings after Chicagoland: 20-11-19-18-41-22-48-31-2-88-78-24-1-27-15-4. Harvick needs a win bad now. New Hampshire is next. To say JGR is dominant now is an understatement. They look unstoppable right now.

The 4 is up there! Look out....
Looks like he is going to have to get by a Gibbs car in Edwards Brew? Edwards paced 2nd practice this morning again and looks pretty stout for tomorrows race. Here were the top 10 cars in practice #2: 19-4-2-22-41-88-48-11-20-3

Truex Jr. signs a new multi year deal with Furniture Row Racing yesterday. The team also announced a technical alliance with JGR for next year as they switch to Toyota. Good for Martin!

Happy Hour is over. Edwards was fastest in the 10 lap average again but Harvick posted quick lap time in the segment: 4-18-2-48-19-5-11-3-41-20

Pressure is on for a few chasers next week... Harvick included!
Yeah Busch and Menard can still race there way in but Harvick and Bowyer both need a win. Harvick was beaking off at the start of the Chase about running the table again but really has beat himself in this Chase so far.

Here is your updated Chase Grid after race 2: 20-11-19-22-48-31-41-2-78-24-1-88-18-27-4-15. Busch is 1 point out of a berth next week but Harvick is -23.

Nascar to make a decision on the Dover race tonight as forecast models show a strong possibility of Hurricane Joquim could hit the eastern US coast causing historical flooding events. Right now Dover is showing 80% rain Friday and 70% Saturday and Sunday. Dover has no lights and Mike Helton has said they could wait till Tuesday to run the race if need be.

Nascar announced this morning that all on track activities are cancelled for today. Thus here is your starting lineup if the race can go Sunday based on Chase standings: 20-11-19-22-48-31-41-2-78-24. I personally think by looking at the forecast that the race has a small chance of going Monday but more likely Tuesday.

Sorry for the late report guys. No internet for 4 days. Brew is right. Harvick dominated the race and did what he needed to do to transfer by winning the race. Kyle did the same solidly finishing 2nd with Jr making a late race daring pass to get by Jamie McMurray to force a tie which he won on the tie breaker to transfer as well and eliminating McMurrays best run of the year. Biggest surprise was JJ eliminated when a faulty oil seal in his cars rear end failed mid race delegating him to a 41st place finish. Here were the top 10 cars: 4-18-88-1-43-5-20-17-42-22. Menard, Johnson, Bowyer and McMurray were eliminated. Everyone starts fresh at Charlotte next week for the next round.
