Looks like this will be the last weekend for David Ragan in the 18 car as Eric Jones will transition in next week in Talledega. Michael Waltrip will drive the 55 car next weekend in Dega and then David Ragan will drive the car for the remainder of the season as it appears Vickers will not be back this year. Nascar boss Brian France says he is interested in giving Kyle Busch an exemption which will give him a chance for the Chase if he gets a win and a top 30 finish.

Nascar news today:

Go Daddy announces this will be there last year sponsoring Danica Patrick in the Sprint Cup Series. They cited more international marketing as they have 81% brand awareness in the US. They will continue with a personal services contract with Danica but will no longer be on the car next year.

Jeff Gordon will drive the pace car at this years Indy 500. He will fly back to Charlotte after this for the evening Coke 600 event.
