So today the douche canoe pleaded no contest to his 128 mph speeding ticket a couple months ago. He was given a 45 day suspended license and a $1000 fine and must do some charity work. Ho hum, I wonder what would have happened if any of us got the ticket instead?:nono:

Whats really interesting is by Nascar rules all drivers must have a valid drivers liscence. I wonder how he gets around that.

all they need is a nascar drivers licence its seperate from a actual d/L the suspension does not affect his nascar licence

Another big news day in the Nascar world today. Everything you heard about Danica is now official. Fulltime Nationwide with Jr. Motorsports and limited sched with Stewart Haas in the cup series. Go Daddy is her sponsor. In other sponsor news it is reported that rumours have Home Depot moving over to the 99 car next year. It is said they coveted Edwards when he was talking to Gibbs and have now decided to switch teams to get him. This is great news for Roush who is looking for sponsors for Edwards and Kenseth for next year and is trying to keep UPS for Ragan.

Ok ive been wondering myself.......How long will Danica have to run the cup series before she #1 gets most popular driver of the year (from Jr) and #2 how many years does she have to compete in cup before she kicks Jr's ass on a regular basis?

Look at her stats in open wheel racing, yeah she has only won one race I believe, but she will absolutly top 5 and 10 ya to death!

I agree, it's all about consistency. Time will tell though :)

Qualifying is over. One to five go like this: Newman, Edwards, Kenseth, Gordon and old Mark Martin. I'm sticking with Ford and taking Kenseth. ( big surprise heh?)

Haha I hate to do it but one guy I have to go with this week is DC jr. yeah yeah yeah I dont like him either but he has a pretty respectable record at Bristol and knows his way around there. The other guy Im going with is Kevin Harvick, Starting 15. Close enough to the front to get the job done and you NEVER count him out. I would really like to see Harvick and DC racing for the lead and see Harvick dump Busch and go on to win the race!

So Harvick and DC Jr. are my picks

I watched some of happy hour practice today at lunch time and DC is not happy with his car this weekend. He looked pretty strong in Nationwide tonite though.

I'm going with the 24 and I'll go with Smoke for my other pick. Did anyone see the stunt that DC pulled on Elliot Sadler the other day in the truck series? DC runs into Sadler out of a corner then spins out and then waits for Sadler to come around and hooks him as he's going by and then drops down on Sadler and hits him again as Sadler is spinning. I wish someone would cold cock the idiot already...
