Missed out on picks last week guys but I see than Newman had a good race :d. The wife and I took off to Washington state to catch the Dirt Cup at Skagit Speedway outside of Burlington. Great time watching the 410 sprints for three nights rippin' up that little 3/10 mile track.

Road course coming up this week right? I'll go with Robby Gordon.

They put on a heckuva show don't they? Good pick with either of the Gordon's.:Cool9:

Nascar today announced the penalties for the JGR teams that presented unapproved oil pans to tech Friday morning at Michigan. All three crew chiefs for the 11,18, and 20 cars were fined $50,000 each and placed on probation until Dec. 31/11. In other news Jayski's is reporting that sources are saying that Greg Zippadelli, crew chief for Joey Logano may be leaving JGR and rejoining Tony Stewart as his crew chief at Stewart Haas Racing shortly.:eek:

wouldnt suprise me with zippy, sounds like lagono could be on the chopping block at JGR after this year. Talks about edwards goin to JGR to fill his spot but I dont see that happening with all the success he has had with Ford and Roush racing, plus he doesnt really fit into that group of DC and Hamlin.

I've heard Edwards speak well of Hamlin in the past but does anybody get along with the Douche? I don't think Logano is progressing quite as fast as JGR would like. I hope Roush can re-sign Edwards. Not only is he a great driver but he also is a great spokesperson for Ford. We would welcome you over from the dark side there Zeebs if you want to jump on the bandwagon. Lol.:d:d:beer::beer:

Carl does have a dark side sometimes, even with teammates. Remember when he threatened Kenseth during an interview? I think they all get along well now, especially Kenseth and Biffle. He isn't always the golly gee, aw shucks guy we see on TV every week though.

I don't think Roush has any pressure to re-sign Edwards with Stenhouse and Bayne waiting in the wings. Stenhouse will be ready for a full time cup ride by next season, after he wins the Nationwide points this year.

As for Logano, I'm really not sure what Gibbs saw in him. I think they got caught up in the young driver fad and it didn't pan out. I think Edwards would be a good fit in the JGR camp.

I'm going to pick Ambrose or Kasey Kahne. Something about the Red Bull thing has given me a hunch. Montoya is a good pick as long as someone doesn't bump him and he does his whole Bruce Banner/ Incredible Hulk transformation.

I think BradB's picks are good, can't go wrong with Smoke, and Jeff Gordon. Another guy that does well on the road courses is Robbie Gordon ( not a huge fan of his though).

Yeah if Montoya starts getting pissy, I would imagine there will be a few guys doing some agriculture racing trying to get by him :)

Robby Gordon always seems to have a good run and then he does something dumb that takes him out of the running. Always afraid to pick him.
