On a nascar note I see the dinger is starting 2nd for the 600. I hope he can pull it off, it would be a huge shot in the arm for that team. He has been real good some weeks but just cant seem to put it all together. The reason Im not picking him is because he just seems to drive hard all the time and Im afraid with it being 600 miles your gonna have to pace yourself. Hope he has a good run though.

Back in the day I was a huge Dale Jarrett fan. He used to pace himself and always be there at the end. I liked his remark on ESPN 's broadcast last year. These kids now don't know how to pace themselves. They go as hard as they can at the drop of the green flag. So true.

Man that was total heart break for the rookie! I guess that what happens when you lose concentration.

On the NASCAR side the fords look tough again but jr had a really strong car towards the beginning of the race, hopefully they can keep up with the track.

Anybody that doesn't think that race car drivers are athletes better give their head a shake. It has been as high as 140 degrees in the race cars today. Right now David Ragan after repeatedly pouring water down his fire suit to cool down has water scalding his butt in the metal race seat he sits in. Try driving 200 mph for 4-5 hrs and try and block that out of your mind.:eek:
