So I have an 2012 echoboost and as it stands today it's doing 23avg/ 100km. My old f350 was doing 17 what is going on with this and I do not tow or carry any weight. I know some with a new 3500 and thats getting 20.

my '12 2500hd GMC gas job does that loaded with a space cap and 3000lbs of parts and tools. Those ford 6cyl never got good fuel mileage. Wife had a 97 exploder and it never broke 12mpg.

Its a Ford.....they have never, ever been able to get economy. Forget about it...... at least it has power, not like in the 80's and 90's when they were both crappy on fuel and power.

Buddy at work gets 13l/100k no problem
My 10 5.4l gets 14-15l/100k so there is definitely something wrong. Son in law is a lead foot and gets 16l/100k with his 12 ecoboost
Reset the fuel average and start again

Could have anything to do with drifting in snow lol. But really I just don't get it I do let it idle to warm up in the mornings but surly that would make it go down.

Mine got 12 empty and went right up to 24 towing my 4 place enclosed. Did a pretty good job of although the truck was pretty light for the task I'd say. Especially comparing it to the Duramax that I was using prior.

Figure it out by hand is the only way to find your proper mileage. Dads 2012 6.2L chev always says around 12mpg but when figured by hand it's closer to 17-18

A friends Econoost is the same thing with mostly highway. Gets worse mileage than my 5.3 Silverado.

I've got an '11 FX4 ecoboost, with my sled deck on (approx 550 lbs) I'm at about 17/100, in the summer I'm at 15/100 a lot less idling. I just had the cold air exchanger replaced, they said that the sensor freezes off and your truck runs rich. Which was absolutely killing my fuel mileage. I was at 20/100 before they changed out that part. Truck was sluggish and when you pulled out to pass someone on the highway, it would feel like the transmission was slipping, but it was actually the engine misfiring ( the engines are pretty quiet, you couldn't hear it misfiring which is why I thought it was a transmission slip) they replaced the cooler and my mileage has smartened up a bit. But these things are so much fun to drive, if I kept my foot out of it a bit, I'm sure I would see better mileage :)

Funny you should say that mine seem's to not like the cold for some reason it seems like when its cold like today it does not seem to run as good.

Apparently it's a common thing, they built a deflector for the new one, so its probably just a band aid fix...and I had to wait over a month for the new exchanger to come in.
