After having many hard rides with the boys (riding buddies) over the last so many years, and seeing too many close calls almost ending in carnage, injury or worse, I decided to give myself a reminder last year. It's simple and hard to miss for me while i'm riding... however it works and has made me think twice many times while riding fast and hard and maybe on the edge?... my wife had a little something to do with it

I put my Boys names, all three of them on the inside of the windsheild, to remind me to slow down! I can't help but see it most of time (unless i'm going too fast and can't take the time to take my eyes off of the trail!)

I'ts vinyl lettering, I own a sign/graphic shop and it was something I did for fun but is a good reminder to think about what's at stake while ridng. :)

Good idea I thought of something like that a couple of years ago but never did it maybe it is time to with the conditions in the mountains right now. Where is your shop? I will be in need of some signs pretty quick.

I run my business, Signtex, out of my shop on my acreage out near Ardrosson AB, 10 mins from Sherwood Park, just north of South Cooking Lake. We do all sorts of Signage, vinyl graphics, Screen printing and embroidery of all sorts of corporate apparel, since 1989.

 What A shameless plug that was

What a great idea! Maybe I should do that too... I have a son who needs me, and it's important to remember that when I'm out there riding :thumbsup2:

:D:D LOL:) The little 600 has embarassed a few yellow 7's and 8's in it's day. What she lacks in displacement she makes up for in spirit :)
Had a buddy with a girlfriend like that: What she lacked in looks and brains, she made up for with enthusiasm.

Hats off to you Scotty... Now if only half the IDIOTS driving south on hwy 2 could think like that and slow down. An accident or injury not only affects 1 person ... it affects family, friends and loved ones.

It doesn't take a huge machine to cause some trouble...almost anything can reach 60 mph with EASE....and at that speed....bad stuff can happen

I'm with Rucky on this... a 120+ hp 600 can reach 60 - 70 mph as fast or faster than an 800 or 900. Most performance 600's these days are 100 mph plus sleds. They are all dangerous if the pilot is riding over his head... even a little 600 Cat. ;)

Hey Hughie... I know you were just being tongue in cheek but thanks for the insult anyways
