Well, here is the first of my arsenal of safety equipment...
as trail rider and mud rider most of us think that we don't need stuff like this
i kinda thought the same thing although i wore a basic chest protector...
Even more so if you do any competitive racing... do you need equipment...
i tell ya.. im not going thry this again... i am still in pain and the recovery is a slow process...
can'nt sleep yet and still popin pain pills...
we are all human and if you think that just cause you trail ride, you dont need safety stuff..
well sooner or later t could happen to you too..
no one is amune to not crashing or having an accident....
you will totally chance your tune if something like what happened to me happens to you... just sayin..
so here is some pics of my first purchase.. now that i have tryed on one.. they are super comfortable and have not just great protection for your neck
but also for the shoulder area... if i had a neck brace on i would have not broke my shoulder and have a plate with 9 screws in there to stay...
this is the basic protector and no need to spend 4 to 6 hundred on a neck protector.. i paid 182 bucks for this one.. retails for 300...
as i heal more i will be upgrading to a very good chest protector where the neck brace intergates into the protector... i have done major examining of all the stuff out there and
the troy lee design 5900 or 5955 chest protectors are the sh*t!
also for a body suit with under jersey protection the Fox is very nice and breathable...
im also looking at getting a padded under pant short for under the riding pants...
Leatt also makes a good chest protector but the TLD is superior but a bit expensive at around 250 bucks...
the body suits have arm protection too and the way my arm got ripped up i wish i would have had one on...
safety equipment is just not for the racing crowd but also for the rec. rider....
i had some major trauma to my body and it could have been easily worse...
check out my Leatt neck brace...
