Is your Tesla supposed to automatically avoid obsticals like that? I know that is asking a lot but I thought they were getting that good.Yeah. Wrecked the sidewall on one tire.

I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass, I really did not know if they would sense something on the road and warn you in time.I dunno if you saw what the roads were like in southern/central Alberta yesterday but they were terrible. Really poor visibility and a ground blizzard. I was driving manually as one should do in that situation. Definitely my own fault.

8600kwh for the whole year???
That’s more than my house for the year.
The only savings I am seeing at the moment, is no taxes or highway tax on electricity yet, wait till there are restrictions on charging EV’s
Stay tuned it’s coming, alberta has a power alert this week.
The cost per KWH is the highest I can remember. 23c per kWh right now.

For short commutes and not a lot of driving they have their place... 100%....but for myself that isn't even a full week of a driving. My parents bought a Hyundai Kona this spring for short trips to town or just regular island day to day driving. In the month of November they drove 2285km for a cost of $51. That works out to 44.8km/$1
Pretty hard to get that with a combustion engine.
