Went and fueled up my truck and slip tank yesterday. Had to laugh at the 3 Tesla's at the charging station, people were inside with windows up and A/c on( had to be since it was 33c). Wonder how much juice the a/c uses? Send counter productive to be using the hydro while trying to charge.

Air conditioning uses about 2.5kw at full blast. So basically leaving the AC on for one hour would cost you 2.5kWh or about $0.50. If you charge for 20 minutes you would waste 17 cents of power to stay cool.

this may not be true. I read that on the `Tesla`s website` there was an accounting error, but have not found any other comment from L.B( guy in the video )

surprised the homeless arnt cutting the charging cables for scape metal yet...

It’s happened in California. The cables aren’t even that long. Way better places to steal copper from if that’s your thing.

At one building I do some work, the owners owners didn’t feel like they like they wanted to pay for the power to charge their local parkinglot resident’s phone. So they shut off the power to all the car plugs.

So their buddy took all the parking lot car plugs apart for the small amount of #14 wire.

The guy probably got $5 in scrap but it will be a couple grand to repairing it.

If you're worried about electricity usage for charging a phone you must be really really bad at math.
iPhone 13 pro has a 12 watt hour battery. You could charge your phone 83 times for $0.20.
More work for the electricians!

You know I could buy a serious motor for the price of battery replacement in a Chevy Volt, let alone a Tesla!
