how did these work out ? Any better for keeping a side hill ?

Worked great. If you do it I highly recommend upgrading your track shocks and letting the limiter strap out all the way and limiting the tmo or deleting it. The race spindles won’t work on the 20 plus ski rubbers so you have to downgrade to the old style but the spindles keep the front of the ski down a lot more then factory. They reduce the weird reaction that the sled wants to go uphill when side hilling. They add about a pound on each side but if you go with fox float 3s you can loose that weight plus more. The only downfall is you can’t adjust ski width anymore and it’s stuck at 36” stance but I’m working on getting some spindles cut

So it does make it easier to tip on its side? Between this and a 34” a-arm it would be pretty sweet.

what are the part numbers for the spindles? What was the cost? What ski rubbers did you use again?

turns out zrp makes a tall spindle like the race spindles as well. Basically lifts the sled up that extra 1.5” which allows the front track shock to be fully extended at all times. Normally it’s collapsed a small portion.

shouldnt it be collapsed a small portion? also this would make the attack angle worse?

Uhhhh greatly. I would NOT recommend the 34” stance arms as my sled will just flop over with out much movement. I have my tmo limited so that also helps and this was before a 15” wide track. It’s even crazier now. The part number for the spindle is 505074649 x2, and 505072690 x4. You will have to make washers to space the tie rods upwards or I can make some for you. I believe it was about $300 CAD. I used my stock 17 to 19’s, 2020 was updated along with the spindle and these won’t work because they have extra material toward the front and won’t allow the ski to fit. Yes it lifts it up but I can’t remember how much I have pics of my stock 19 vs 17 mod. It also moves the ski forward and improves the suspension geometry for trail riding. Yes it will fully extend the front shock but only if you let the limiter strap out fully. The front shock usually is set to be at 13.5” to 14” but the front shock is too short at 14.5” and I’m looking into longer shocks to try. I know a 16” is too long and won’t fit but a 15” is perfect. If you are interested in this I highly highly recommend getting different shocks for at least the rear. The stock rear shock literally just kills itself hahah especially if you’re bigger and carry extra weight. It’s definitely a mod that I can’t live without and am doing it to my 19 as well. You will also need all new lock nuts 232521464 x4 and 233201464 x2. I’ll upload some pics of everything again

Typically yes. Sag is kinda a personal preference on mountain sleds. I’ve always cranked my stock shocks up to 5 for stiffness. Oh yeah the attack angle changed a few degrees maybe? Was almost as close to a khaos if I can remember. It’s been awhile.........

Hmmmm maybe I’ve gone crazy but I thought I had pictures of measurements. Oh well I’ll grab some tomorrow. Here’s some pics of the spindles

yes and no, depends the effect your looking for. you need to think you last comment out a little before the question. not trying to be rude but attack angle can be advantageous in a lot of other situation besides climbing straight up.

This is a sweet mod - I think I'm doing this spindle change out on my 2015 xm 174 now

Might not work on the t3 as the g4 a arms are slightly different but it definitely is worth it
Ya a bit pricey - it would be a wing and a prayer if it worked on the T3 - wish I could just try 1 to see if it works or not

I’m sure if you give me the measurements off yours i can see if it will and if you do order one and it won’t I’d happily buy it off you

I don’t think taking any measurements will help. I thought the spindle was at lesser angle but it’s not. I don’t see why they won’t work
My buddy has a gen4 maybe I'll pull a spindle off and compare the T3 one to his gen4
