Must haves when you choose accommodations. Sled Destinations

I've recently been approached by a tourism board starting up in BC. They are wanting to promote winter tourism in Rural BC, especially snowmobiling.
What are some Must Have's you look for when choosing accommodations for your sledventures?

a safe place for the trucks and the sleds. Lots get stolen. That would be my first one

Good parking is important and place that is looked after and priced fair.

Secure parking, decent prices and great breakfast and supper very close by.
I guess thats why I look for B@B that welcome sledders before I chose a motel.

Secure parking is probably a top priority. A good area for drying your gear is a another. Nothing worse than putting on damp gloves or boots the next day. I most definitely prefer a bed and breakfast style of accommodation over a hotel.

Great points already brought up , One that hasn't been brought up is I always look for a place that supports the local snowmobile club or provincial snowmobile club, no need to support someone who is not supporting us

snow is number 1, town and club that accomudate and want snowmobiling, hotels or b&b that have descent parking, internet search for alot of this can be done but most people only post bad experiences so you never hear the good alot of the time so your only way to know is trying the place yourself, another for me is the drive, if trying to go everyweekend the shorter is prefered but if have a few days off work then longer drive is ok. one that i havent seen but i know alot of people look for is parts or rental shop, if you drive for 10 hrs and sled breaks 1st day is there a place to rent a sled from, maybe someone forgot helmet at home, is there a place they can get one. so ammements in town can also help new areas trying to get started.

Don’t even need to walk to the pub if it’s a place out of town. Reasonable drinks at a little resort type place would be great ����

Clean and reasonable price and parking. Also late check in. Some times we will wait until the kids are ready for bed then leave and won't get to the hotel until 1AM
