there is a few threads on this already. see lots of guys like the mud bugs. im getting a set here at the end of the month. see how they work regardless price was right. buddy changed his foreman to disc brakes and had to go to different tire sizees to clear the rotors. got all 4 for 2 hundred bucks. and he had just put them on last year only like 4 rides on them..

Yah.... the brake kit manufacturers fail to mention that the foreman stock 11" rims won't fit over the disk brake conversion kit.....:rant:

now my bearclaws sit in the garage and I have a stock set of suzuki KQ tires on the front....

Outlaws
Gators(this is what i have right now 27")
Silverbacks-They're made by gorilla axles so you know they're good for mud
Mudzilla's
Swamp-Lites

From what i have read on this site, most people like the Zilla's.

I would have to say Silverbacks or the Vampire EDL's for a pure mudtire, if you want a mixed terrain,.. then the Zilla's for sure.

I don't know what you have for rims now,.. but I know you will need spacers for the front or new rims if you want to run anything wider than 8" up front.

I have run the 29.5" laws on my 700 & 800 sportsman and now run the 30" silverbacks on my 850. Either tire will get the job done in the mud or muskeg. I am doing exactly what you are talking about and running zillas on the stock wheels and the backs on a set of 212,s. If i had the choice i would probably still run with the laws over the backs just due to the smoother ride of the laws. But either one can't be beat for an all out mud tire and i am sure you will be happy with either one.

I also have an 06 Outlander 800 and went with 28" mudzillas, and it needed wheel spacers on the front. They're an awesome tire for mud, not quite as aggressive as the outlaws or silverbacks, but I've also never snapped any axles. Good luck in deciding

i have expierience with both 30" silverbacks and 29.5" outlaws. IMO the outlaws are alot smoother riding tire and last alot longer. the silverbacks are better in the springs mud when there is still a bottom. but when there is no bottom the silverbacks seem to dig where the outlaws seem to paddle a little better. outlaws have a better rim guard. One plus to silverbacks is they are for 14" rims. silverbacks are more of a ballooned shape and way stiffer. if i didn't have to use a tire for 14" rims on my 850 i would be riding on outlaws.

I have a set of 28" x 11" x 14" Zillas for sale about 10 hours on them $500.00 obo for 5 tires only thing is they are 14" rims but cheap tires leaves you money to buy rims.:d
