Hey Guys I live in the swamp of Grande Prairie, was curious about where or not Mud Jacking a Drive way to get it level with my garage floor is a temporary fix or will it last once the void is filled never had it done before or even priced it out yet was looking for some thoughts or experience before I waste my time and money.

I'm not familiar with this but have heard of it. I would inquire though does it lift with the season? I ask because my neighbors driveway does this in the spring because the water runs down his yard and under the driveway lifting if in the fall and lowering in the spring,.. it could just be a case of run off management.

I have everything sloped and graded properly but that could be, I was told if the void was filled under the driveway then the water wouldn't have a place to settle and lift in the winter. But yes it does go up and down with the changing seasons.

I had our driveway and sidewalk lifted last summer. They use foam instead of cement and it is guaranteed to not sink again more then 1/4" over 10 years or they will take care of it. We had a lip of 2.5" between driveway and garage floor. Turns out the builder of our house did not run the eavestrough down drain out under the lawn but just through a pipe under the sidewalk that washed out the foundation. The company did a great job and everything is perfectly level now.

What kind of price did it cost for the driveway.

Ours cost $1575 but it was a big job. They were here for 7 hours bringing it up slowly.

Had ours done at the old house for $1300 about 8 years ago and still good today. They used the mud/plastic media lift and it was about 2" including the sidewalk around the side of the garage to the front door

My neighbor did his three years ago on the walkway and pad around garage and hasn’t moved since. I think he paid around $500 but they were already on the street doing the side walks for the town.
