Closures for Mtn. Caribou habitat in the Revelstoke area will be in effect Thur. Jan. 1/09 on Frisby, Sale, Keystone and at Caribou Basin.
With our new SMA the MoE will be responsible for trailhead signs. At this time the updated signs are not ready and will not be installed till mid. Jan. Border closure signs will be installed by Revy Snow Patrol before the closures are in effect.
Respect the closures everyone, the Club, SRS and GH have spent the last 3 yrs. negotiating with gov. to complete our new Stewardship Management Agreement to ensure these mtns. stay open for us all to ride.

....and a huge THANK YOU to our Revy club members who volunteer their time each season with Snow Patrol to hold up our end of the deal.

Closures are in effect as of midnight today.
We have just gotten the updated closure maps on the 29th, sign shop is closed for the holidays and we will not have the updated info posted in time.
Please use the closure info from previous yrs. until news maps and signs are available for us to post.
Respect the closures everyone.
If you do see caribou on your travels please notify Ron laroy@telus.net. We are now noting sightings, this info will be kept only for club and BCSF purposes.

Sofa King don`t know if it is online yet. PM me your e-mail addy and I`ll send you what MoE has sent us.

Hello Powder Puff, I have tried in vain to find the B.C. Govt site that gives the names and GPS location of the closed areas in BC. We do 50% of our riding in the backcountry and don't want to go into a closed area and cause trouble. The site address was on S&M last year, and I believe it also gave the park names that have "ON TRAIL RIDING" for passage through(very limited number of Prov. parks). Any chance you can help, P.M. me if neccessary. Thanks
