So I went to get my GPS charger for my wife this morning out my truck no problem there. But when I opened my glove box there was a mouse nest in there I'm not joking I have photographic evidence. Firstly thank you to the mouse for ripping up my truck insulation and secondly how the hell Did it get in there? I need a truck cat how do I find it?

My dad had a mouse get in his 2002 GMC Sierra through the fire wall. That might be where all that nesting in your pic is from, open the hood and look....also happened to my wifes car, but we caught that before they made it inside....

My dad used a 5g pale on passanger side with a stick with peanut butter at end to catch the mouse, mouse can't climb well on plastic I guess.....mouse ran to the peanut butter then fell, worked for him....

Also look in the v part of the engine

x2 on that, I found half my hood insulation in there on my '06! My wife's car had mouse issues as well, never did find where the little buggers were coming in from. I had it up on car ramps and went from one end to the other underneath it and never did find anything where I thought they could gain access from.....damn ninja mice!

Make sure you seal up any openings, only have to be the size of a dime for then buggers to get in, and make sure you catch them, not poison, don't want them rotting and reeking inthe interior!

Yes do NOT use Poisen !!!! Cost a lady at work about $1500................as she poisened, they died and stunk up her vehilcle, which had to be totally ripped apart..........found 8 babies and Mom all over inside !!! Mice can get in through a very small hole..............I'd set a trap with peanut butter as bait in it and keep it there till your sure you have none left !!!!

lmao! Lmao! Lmao!:rolling::bowdown:

I hate so say it but I dont think you can completely mouse proof your car. A friend of mine works for an exterminator and he said as a rule of thumb is if the mouse (or rat) can squeeze its head thru a hole, he is in. The avg is 6 mm. The body will flatten. We live at the edge of a field and I still haven't found how they are getting into our house despite spending hrs looking and sealing. House is only 6 years old too. Grrrr

yikes! that reminds me many years ago some friends of mine were "snake sitting" for a relative and the damn thing got away (boa about 3 ft long). Anyway, they lived in a town house in Maple Ridge which they rented. They left the place a month later and God only knows where that thing slithered to. Can you imagine sitting on your couch watching TV and that thing comes and wraps around your legs. :nono:

True it's a pain to find out where those buggers are getting in, but it can be done. we live in the country and have no cats, so lots of mice to catch. Had them get in the basement many years ago and ended up finding the dyer vent open just a hair, they climbed in and chewed thru the plastic hose, put a new srceen on vent and tin dryer hose no mice in the house for 9yrs. As far a vehicles, same deal, usually find a bushing cracked or fallen out on the firewall, or around the steering post on old cars, caulk it up and should be good to go.

Off topic here but i was watching Pylon Hunters on TV a couple days ago and it showed about a 15 foot Python swallowing a 4footish Alligator, friggin unbelievable....he was swallowing it whole....the back legs and tail were still fighting to get out while the fron half was being devowered......Nature at its best.

Now back on topic, i HATE mice, so small but yet so destructive.

Re the poison, depends on the type of poison, there’s stuff on the market that they eat, it makes them ill, they go back to their den and dehydrate to death, so no smell even if the den is in your glove box. Also make sure it's the kinds that will poison the mouse but if your cat or dog eat the mouse, it's wont poison them....We buy it at Edmonton pest control.....

Of course then there’s the rotten neighbors that turned out their pregnant cat and it had two litters of kittens in our hat shed, so even after giving away a bunch of cats we still have 4 of them, they are good mouser's but they also attract coyote’s, which keep the dogs busy, which wake me up....it’s all a mouse conspiracy…
