I've been trying to install a couple cargo boxes on my to Sportsman quads and I'm having some troubles. I was using the u-bolts they gave me and I've drilled a couple holes to mount the u-bolts in the rear cargo area on the quad but trying to get the bolts to sit perfectly straight when I'm lowering the cargo box down on it I just can't get all the holes to line up because the u-bolts keep moving when I lower the Box down on them. I took some pictures and I'll list them here I'd love to hear if anyone has any suggestions how to make this easier. I put a little piece of rubber across the u-bolts as well to help keep them more in an upright position but even that's not working.

Try laying the box on the quad and going from the bottom up with your u-bolts. That is how I put the box on my Rincon. It's been on there for a couple years now and hasn't come loose yet.

Tape some thing string to each u bolt thread a few feet long. Have someone help you. Pull each u bolt thread thru hole on box.
As you lower box pull bolts into place.

I'd put some on the back corner cause people will push on your box when you stuck

Another option is to use nutserts in the plastic and then bolt through the box into the nutserts. I did that on my outlander and it worked out well. Easy to remove for cleaning etc.

When I installed that style of box on my ‘12 850XP, I bought 4 of the Polaris Lock & Ride mounts. I made a cardboard template of the rack, then drilled corresponding holes in the box to install the L&R mounts. Box never fell off but was very easy to remove when needed.

^^^^THIS^^^^

I fabed some angle steel and bolted through the side of the box and made our own version of the lock and ride locks in the holes on the side. My box was a kimpex, not as big as yours.
The other way is to template your rack, drill the holes to match as many lock and ride holes as you can and bolt them through the box, then just drop the box onto the holes. lock and ride! And as mentioned, no extra holes in the quad, easy to move for cleaning etc...

I like those Lock & Ride fasteners I just saw them at the dealership and I think they're like a hundred bucks for four of them..... on eBay that link posted above shows I think $30 for 4 of them which is reasonable
