Never been. Always pumped to ride new terrain. Do we get a personal door cop again;)

Lots of different riding areas. Rolling Hills area is just that "rolling hills"with lots of powder. It has access from there to more challenging stuff a little further down the trail all starting from a staging area just out of town. Ferniesnow is the official groomer of this area and he WILL be busy grooming for us all to enjoy

First of all, I would like to thank Glen for asking if Fernie would be interested in hosting this great event. Secondly, I would like to thank the Executive/Moderators/Green Room/Ron or whoever was involved with S&M on giving the go ahead.

It is a great choice, if I say so myself. My line at the sled shows in the Tourism Fernie booth goes something like this, "we are the closest mountain destination for most of the prairies and it is the easiest drive. There is only 10-15 minutes in a minor pass, double lane from Edmonton through Calgary and then only a little less than 3 hours, double lane across southern SK and most of southern AB, 2 hours from Lethbridge and 3 from The Hat, under 9 hours from Saskatoon.

The snow is awesome and the crowds are minimal.

I will keep dropping in and adding information as time goes along. I will be at the Edmonton and the Saskatoon sled shows. My wife and I are working the Tourism Fernie booth. So drop in and chat. We have lots of information, maps as a club fund raiser ($10), and maybe a HotPot shrimp or two.

The snow is already on the ground above 5000' so it looks like it will be a great year.

I have never been there.....anyone know how far Sicamous is to Fernie? what is the quickest way there?

If I were driving from Sicamous to Fernie; Revy, Golden, then south to Radium, Skoocumchuck, Wasa, and Cranbrook (skip Kimberly and don't go into Cranbrook), turn east on Highway #3 to Fernie. Fernie is 3 and a little from Golden.

Well I have never rode there before and looking forward to it this year. I had to bail out early last and will be there. Always love riding new Terrain, and seeing some old faces that we dont get to see much.
