Mountain Mania 4 - Valemount,BC - Feb 25-26,2011

Mare, i would recomend riding chappell creek on friday for your first mountain experience if you are intown for a ride on friday. If not, the allan creek area for the saturday ride will be ok and there will be lots of people to show you the way. For your first trip, just play near the cabin and around the little lakes there, get your feet wet and I dont recomend venturing to much farther.

If you are able to ride friday, I would not mind showing you a bit of the chappell area and giving you a bit of mountain advice along the way.

BEACONS ARE A MUST anywhere west of Hinton:d and can be rented at Alpine Country Rentals, P&Vs convenience and I believe the Shell gas station. Not sure on bumper to bumper, but i will check for other sources. It would be good to rent before you come just to gaurentee you get one.

gets dark by 4ish and chappell is 58km south, so that may not be the best option. pm me one day and i will give you directions to the westridge loop or something like it close to town. Cant beat canoe mountain for a quick ride to 8000' via a fire road either if the weather is nice

Best Western is "Sold Out"
Hopefully Curtis will have time to post the other options for hotel in Valemount some time today.

Seems funny to say this so early, but we are selling tickets at a good rate, this is a limited ticket event, when the event is sold out - it's sold out.
