Motorfist Rekon bib question

Question. What is the little tab on the bottom of the gaiters with the two snaps?
It must have a purpose but damned if I know what I'm supposed to do with it.
Reason I am asking is the snaps are scratching my tunnel and sometimes I can feel the them when I an gripping the tunnel.
I'm thinking 19 seconds with my Leatherman will solve this problem.

my guess its to attach to ur boot laces so they don't ride up ur leg

Yup it is another option to secure it to your boots to ensure your gaiter stays down, and snow stays out. It's nice to have options.

So tuck it into your laces and do up the snap?
Sheesh, there is no way I can bend over that long with out passing out.
If my socks don't slide on in the first attempt, I need to come back up for air!!

I use both as the clip comes off some times
