I stayed variable. No deals for me unless i sign a 4-5 yr mortgage. Rates will come down so I didn’t want a five year. I’m curious to hear how this thread goes.

I would 1000% Stay away from him absolutely the worst broker ever and unless it's changed you cannot buy a house from any Qualico owned builder as they refuse to deal with him as they have had far too many possession days come and find out the buyers have no mortgage. Granted this was close to 10 years ago it may have changed, I still wouldn't deal with him.

I procrastinated too much and looked for deals too long so Im in an open mortgage right now so not a good thing. But its only for a couple days. I found a 5.66% variable that I am just waiting on to see if my current lender will match before I jump ship. Im not a variable guy but I think especially now with the US having to do it next month then we should see at least one more .25 drop in canada and it would be sweet to see 2 of them. I figure its worth it to wait for 5 months on the variable and then lock in the fixed if the rates have come down. Fricken painful not having the 2.89 anymore! haha
